This was the most exciting ride in the world! It made my stomach churn with nervous energy. Every time I think about my first ride on this beast I start to shake. My girlfriend had to really convince me to go on it. I'm glad I did, and I lived to tell the tale

I remember this ride from one of my earliest visits to alton towers (i think it may be me in the picture). Far from it being a ride where you had "little or no control" I remember being petrified that one wrong move would see me and my sled tumbling down the grass bank adjacent to the concrete track. I also seem to remember cushioned stops at the end of the ride, you would hurtle into these at what seemed like 120mph. But then they went and spoilt it all by knocking it down and building nemessis?????!!!!
