Retired Rides : Alpine Bob Sled

The Bob Sled was one of the first rides at Alton Towers.

It was situated at the lower end of Fantasy World, in about the same area as where Oblivion now stands. Simply, it was two narrow asbestos channels in which the rider would sit in a wheeled sled, and pretty much run down the channel with little or no control over your sled.

The ride was removed in 1986.
