Retired Rides : Turbo Star

The Turbo Star was another of Alton Towers favourite rides during it's time at the park. Located in Fantasy World, it stood in about the area where the Oblivion station now stands.

The ride itself consisted of three arms connected to a single point of rotation. Attached to these arms where seven carriages that carried two people. These carriages are connected to an arm on one of the three in the centre. The cars would then spin both around each arm, and around the central hub. A classic fairground ride sequence.

The ride was removed several years later, and the Gravitron took it's place.

Installed: 1984 - 1988
Manufacturer: Huss
Location: Fantasy World
Where Now: Unknown
