Retired Rides : Park Railway

There had been railway that ran along the edge of the gardens for many, many years, before even the oldest rides had been installed in the park.

It ran from Merrie England, near the Log Flume entrance, to a station just below Forbidden Valley, offering visitors an alternative to walking or taking the Sky Ride.

In 1997, the route of the train was shortened, and only went as far as a station in Gloomy Wood, although it seemed all for nothing. In 1998 and 1999 the railway was closed, and finally in 2000, the track was removed.
