Retired Rides : Around The World In 80 Days

Around The World In 80 Days, was one of the first attractions installed in 1981.

Located in the bottom end of Talbot Street, the ride consisted of a boat ride, taking you through a tour of different countries with characters, costumes and sets all meticulous in their detail. Each country had its own music which played in each area of the ride. You could travel through London, Siam, Egypt, New York, Venice, Greenland, Las Vegas, Vienna. Holland, Brazil, Paris, London Docks and Battersea.

The ride was closed at the end of 1993, stripped, and re-opened in 1994 as Toyland Tours, which is much the same, except is a tour through Toyland.
