All i can say is that this ride needs a story line!
Also they need more ghostly effects like "the haunted mansion"
it uses the most oldet effects and still gets away with amazing people to this day. Maybe the story line should be on how the woods got so gloomy casting its gloom over the house.

A day at Alton Towers isn't complete without a ride on this. It's even better now because there's never a queue (why?). What's great is the atmosphere and length of the ghoul-packed journey. The cars speed up and slow down at various points and the revolving tunnel is bizarre (if it's working). I suspect that because the ride isn't hyped anymore people don't know about it's greatness; I saw people walking back out the front door because they thought it was only the one walk-in room! It may not be very thrilling, but it adds variety to the magical day.

This is in my view one of the best attractions on the park. There are great special effects on the ride, and the area themeing and the ride itself, is very hard to beat. However the attraction will be in 2002 10 years old, so perhaps a new make over is needed. Some people seem to almost saying they (alton towers), should remove it completely, but they forget, it really is for the family, not raving teenagers.

I would just like to say that I have been in the haunted house many times over the years and have enjoyed it, however when I went to Alton Towers in the year 2000 I was very disappointed. It seemed darker inside than before and I personally think that Alton Towers should consider giving the ride a revamp, otherwise people are going to get bored and it would be a shame to see a good ride disappear again.
